Fly Fishing 101

To further promote the fishing and life skills learned at our retreats, Idaho2Fly sponsors several Fly Fishing 101 Classes each spring.  These informative and enjoyable classes offer former and future guests, volunteers, and men with cancer an opportunity to connect with one another and take their passion for fly fishing to the next level.

Topics include:

  • Fishing Gear, the Fun Stuff
  • The knots of fly fishing
  • The bugs of fly fishing
  • Strategies of fly fishing
  • Where in the water are they?
  • Fly casting

Each session is designed as a stand-alone class.  Interested parties may choose to attend one class or as many as they wish.

The 2018 classes will be held Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on: March 7th, 14th, 21st, April 4th 11th and 18th at Mountain States Tumor Institute (MSTI) on the lower level of St Luke’s, Meridian on Eagle Rd.  A light meal will be served at these classes.
