AUGUST ISSUE | 2026
Have you ever wondered why or how Idaho2Fly came into existence? — Who started it? — Or how it got its name? David Lombardi, Co-Founder and Past President of Idaho2Fly answers these questions and more in a blog article he penned for us chronicling the rich history of our founding and the genesis of the original idea, mission and subsequent decision to build the unique Idaho community that Idaho2Fly has become today.
Come join us in a unique casting competition and try your fly casting skills while supporting a noble cause! This innovative, hole-to-hole casting course, similar to golf, will challenge your abilities and crown the top caster. Activities include a longest cast competition and a pint-sinking challenge. Following the competition, unwind with a beer garden and yard games. Ticket proceeds benefit Idaho2Fly. Grab your crew, get your tickets, and come sling some flies!
Day on the Boise River
for Past & Future Retreat Guests
Saturday, August 22nd
Past and future guests are invited to join us for a fun day of fly fishing on the Boise River. No experience is necessary and all equipment can be provided if needed. We will meet for coffee and donuts, and guests will be paired with a Fishing Friend who will take them to a spot on the Boise River for a few hours of fishing. Later that afternoon, we will get back together for pizza and fellowship.
We will explore a new location on the river, so visit our website to learn more about the details, times, location and to sign-up.
Sunday, August 30th
