Meet the Filmmakers

By David Nehmer, Past Retreat Guest & Executive Producer of Currents of Courage

Currents of Courage is a feature-length documentary that follows Idaho2Fly's fly-fishing retreats, where men with cancer find brotherhood, healing, and renewed purpose on the water. Filming began at the August retreat held at Wild Horse Creek Ranch and the October retreat held at Three Rivers Ranch — What the cameras have captured has moved everyone on the crew.

Directed by two-time Emmy Award-winning editor Christen Skinner and produced by her father, David Nehmer (a past retreat guest of Idaho2Fly), the film is being made by a passionate Idaho crew who believe this story needs to be seen.

Come hear the story. Meet the team. And raise a glass to Idaho2Fly, the men of Currents of Courage — and to the rivers that held them. Proceeds benefit Wilderness Voice Project and contribute to the film’s production.
